Down here in Texas we don't really have a winter season. Just a couple days to weeks of really nasty cold. Sometimes the state shuts down, other times it's just a really bad excuse to call into work. Either way, I take for granted being able to drive my car 50 weeks out of the year far too much.
I don't take it for granted. I live in this climate/region because I couldn't/wouldn't do the limited driving seasons & having to avoid salted roadways. When I started driving years ago, my mom & pops were talking about possibly divorcing. My mom's plan was to move back to NY to be closer to her sisters. I told my parents I'm staying in TX & would either live w/my dad or friends; but I WAS NOT moving anywhere I couldn't drive year-round w/o concern 😆 .

My wagon has been at my sister's house since October simply because i don't have room for it unless something sits outside.

Here in Northeast Ohio we've been tempted with what they're calling "Fools Spring," We've had a handful of upper 60s and even a few 70s days, but those in-the-know don't bring their nice cars out for another month or so at the earliest. We've had blizzards the last week in April. This was a few years ago. Lost power for 4 days from this one.

It was 70 degrees in Southeastern Michigan yesterday, so the weather isn't the issue. My problem is my Monte Carlo is still in body shop prison after 3 years at 3 different shops and my Regal is at another shop being refreshed, but hopefully that one will be sorted out next week. The salt has been gone from the roads for at least a week.

Hell, I've been waiting since I parked it in the summer of '04 so drive it again. Just gotta get all those Lego parts back together so I can drive it.
I thought I had it bad. You have 10 years on me. A dubious honor. We gotta get our cars back together!
