I have a 1988 Monte Carlo SS with a original 305 sbc engine and would like to know what years aftermarket intake would fit this engine it has centerbolt valve covers on it?Thanks

You want 87 to 95 intakes. The stock HO intake is ok for 305 performance.

TBI would only work for TBI. Are there 2 intake bolts going straight in? Or are there none? These are the two bolts in the middle near the carb flange. After 86 with center bolt covers has the 2 bolts going straight in. 96 and after which is Vortec have no bolts there at all.

Most after market intakes now have slotted holes for the middle 2 holes so will handle 1955 to 1995 small block Chevy. 1996 and after..., (Vortec heads) have to use Vortec compliant intake.

Yep, I remembered we slotted one, a 87 to 85, or vise versa.
