A friend of mine is running a SBC in a '79 Mali-wagon and had to run a 2" filter to get the hood shut. Then I showed him that his air cleaner base didn't have a big enough drop, after installing that it shuts with a 3". So check to make sure you get a good drop base and you're good to go.
