will the intake off of a chev 350 fit an olds 350? there are lots of chev performance parts out there but not so much Oldsmobile and then they are more expensive.is it because Oldsmobile is so much better than Chevrolet or what?

Total no-go, the Chevy & Olds are two different animals.
The SBC has a huge aftermarket support which makes for a lot of competition and keeps prices low, the Olds does not have anywhere near that support plus Olds V8 engines have been out of production for decades which make limited production parts very expensive but they are available.
Since the SBC is still available brand new from a dealer with a warranty vendors are more likely to invest in making parts for them.

Pro tip: modify Olds parts to take advantage of the Chevy aftermarket (i.e.- offset grind the Olds crank for Chevy rods and sometimes pistons).
We still don't know what motor you have in your Cutlass. An A5 intake should not be on an Olds 350, you may have a 307 swirl port motor.
