Just a quick question before I buy these moog 5660 front springs. Will they fit into the stock lower control arms, I ask because I see everyone recommending these springs but that they have aftermarket arms.

Thanks

Yup. They fit right in even with stock arms.

I installed them with 245/45X17 tires with 1/2 inch taller upper ball joints. Had to take back out and remove half a coil off the top to get MY right stance.SBC with ac.

What's the advantage of those springs? Looks like they are z28 springs. Just a better spring rate for handling?

Per http://jeffd.50megs.com/Moog_Spring_Page.htm (which I studied until my eyes bled before I bought the 5660's for my front end) have a higher Spring Rate, which simply means it takes more weight to compress the spring 1" (420 vs. 640 lb./in) meaning the ride will be a little stiffer. Nothing like "Go-Kart Ride" just stiffer - I also went with 5391's in the back for the same reason.. Add load adjusting shocks (basically a spring around the shock) and you have a good, stiff ride with none of the classic "bounce bounce" after a dip in the road.
