Window Motor Upgrade

Does anyone know of a good window motor upgrade im tired of the old slow motor.

I think that there is an upgrade for the Buick Regal/GN, that is available from 1 of the Buick suppliers, possibly Dennis Kirban. Should work on other G bodies as well.

OK I'll bite...what is a 'window motor'? Do you mean a crate motor?

If you're saying the engine listed in your sig is the one that's slow, then I would have to say there's got to be a major tuning issue somewhere or something because that thing should scream.

I have to agree. with a motor like that your windows should be lightening fast...

Lol, I believe the op is referring to his power window motor.

I remember reading a how to called 'revved up power windows' or something like that quite a while back. Can't recall where that is now. Will post back if I find it.

My 78 has the old style motors , I just had to replace the Rt one ,Got it from www.rockauto.com Reman from Cardone.
That thing is really fast.Scared the crap out of my wife first time she hit the switch :wink:
I had to order one for a 77 chevy because they kept sending me the newer style one.

Since my right side window on my Regal is REALLY slow and stops I know that I am going to have to replace the motor.

Question: Can I just get a 78/79 new replacement motor and bolt it to the 83 regal regualtors?
