Window Motor Upgrade

I read somewhere that there is a resistor on the bottom of the motor and if that is removed the windows travel quicker but I can't find that article. Maybe someone here has seen that also and can dig up that article

Yup..... 8)

Just buying a brand new window motor will be an upgrade compared to your new one. They wear out over time and get gummed up inside which will slow them down.

There is 2 ways I know how to do it.

G bodies have non-spring assisted windows. 4th gen Fbodies do. All the provisions are there for the lift springs on the G body window regualtor. If you can find the springs they will swap right on.

Another way is taking a wire and splicing it to the power lead and then running it to the port on the bottom and attaching it with a screw. This feeds the motor two ways and speeds it up.

The link advised to replace the regulators and the motors from a 78/79 a-body. I am not going to swap regualtors. Anyother options or just new replacements?
