Windshield moldings not going back in. Help!!!

I got 2 diff sets of clips n the glass guy still can't get them install. I got the clips from MikesMonte n dixi so I know I got the right ones. Any suggestions or tips? Thanks

I just today tried to install these same trim clips but from gmclassic parts, and when comparing them to the original I found that my new clips are smaller and have less of a step in them.. You might be having the same issue. I tried for an hour to make it work and only ended up breaking most of the clips and chipping my paint.

I am now on the hunt for correct clips, I will let you know if I can find them.

I found new ones for my El Camino at clipsandfasteners.com
I matched up one of my old ones with the pictures on their web site.
Got the right ones first time. Hope this helps,Good luck.
