Wiper Arm replacement.....

I'd go buy a $5 wiper arm tool before I started replacing parts...

Often they go back on fine without using one, but as you've found sometimes they don't.

I have had the identical problem with my 82 El Camino, the problem is the wiper arm/s, If you look closely, the end of the wiper arm is wallowed out and the fit is too sloppy for the clip to grip. I also obtained another used arm and it did the same, finding a new passenger side wiper arm is difficult and they are expensive, but once you get one and compare to the used one's there is a big difference...I don't know if the demand for them used up all the NOS or what
