I have an 81 cutlass with wire hubcaps they have the original locks on them but I'm missing the wrench to remove them. How do I know which wrench to buy? I see blue, green, yellow, red etc. I never had the original wrench so don't know what color.

Original wrench isn't colored at all.
Not sure what you are looking at... a link might help.
I think I have one of those wrenches somewhere, might be weeks before I find it though...

Actually, the color band corresponds to the pattern on the little nut holding the hubcap down.

Usually, the face of the bolt there is a color/letter code..Red-stamped-A, Green stamped-B, Brown stamped-C, as far as the wrenches go, the part #s were as follows: 22511261 (Red-A); 22511260 (Green-B); 22511259 (brown-C); 22511258 (Gold-H); & 22511257 (Black-L)

I was talking about the little wrench to remove the locks off the simulated wire hubcaps they usually have a band that is blue, green, yellow, blue, etc.

Interesting information I looked at mine and they don't have a letter they do look painted blue. Does that mean I need the wrench with the blue band? Do you know if any blue band wrench from any GM car like Cadillac, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Buick fit?

My 86" Regal did not come with a wrench either to take off the spoked hubcaps but since I had no plans on reusing them I used a "universal wrench" called a 10 lb. sledgehammer that knocked them off with a few good swings.
