I have to agree in part however the system i mentioned brings that 00 from the trunk, as thats where he wanted the battery. So having the starter come from that location up under the firewall on the passenger side then feeding constant 12v from there forward to pcm and so-on is working great so far. if it has issues ill be the one fixing it. as it was the 17 patches he had together was a deathtrap waiting to happen. so cast stones glass hommed one...
The fact it has a battery kill in the trunk and a 200 amp fuse helps too.. and don't forget kids to make sure you use a constant duty solenoid.. not that other one...
Not really following. All of our builds have the battery in the trunk. One has the junction at the battery disconnect in the trunk and the other has the junction at the firewall. I run a #2 wire from the truck to the starter on the 1st build and a #2 wire from the truck to the firewall post o the 2nd. The alternator for both goes to the junction with a #4.
The 1st build, my son's Cutlass, has been in action for 3+ years like this without any issues. It has oodles of grounds with the main one being a #2 from the block back to the battery. The fuel pumps' grounds go directly to the battery as well and the all other grounds are tied to the block/frame.
