Jack, your best bet may be to just take measurement, hit the dorman site, and try and get some other cables that are a bit shorter? Although most of the gate cables don't have just an "eye" on each end. hmmm. I'll have to spend some googley time looking around

can't you just open the glass to slide the beer cases in the back?... 🙂

if you go to a rv repair shop they can make you a cable of any length...

Jim,
I have to look into this a bit further. If I can find two swage eyes the same as the OE type, I'd be good to go...I think?
The eyes would still have to be crimped onto the cable ends, but I'm not worried about that part. I'm more concerned with finding the parts.

Steve,
If it were just cases of beer that I'd be hauling, no problem using the rear hatch, but anything larger like a ladder or lumber, the tailgate would have to operate somewhat correctly.

Do they use that type of rigging on RV's? I figured it to be more of a marine hardware item...like sailboat rigging.

They use wire in the pull up rv's and for other uses but I forget what gauge they use. I'm sure though they would have the gauge you need. The wire they use is aircraft quality so it's good wire

Jack I got your antenna connector, for the Cowl area

You were actually able to find one....cool! Are you sure you're not going to need it on your car? I could probably find one at the junque yard if you think you're going to need it.

Looks like I'm going to be using OEM window channels for the front doors. I found two NOS LH side channels. I'm going to cut one and flip it over to make it a RH side. I ran the number thru my local Chevy dealer and he located one in Maryland...which I already have. The other one is coming from Illinois.

Jack, I went to the U-pull-it yesterday, and was just looking around for the things I need. My brother needed a back seat for his Monte Carlo, and a wiper transmission for his wife's Malibu. So, since I had all the stuff off for the wiper transmission, I pulled the antenna wire for you. I ohmed it out when I got home and it appears to be good. I can drop it in a padded envelope or something and send it out.

While I was at the yard, I found my 2000 Blazer 2wd spindles and hubs. So happy! Then I bought 3 wall cabinets for the garage from a dude on craigslist.

Here are the pics of the antenna connector

Hey Jack, just saw your question about the dash trim pieces...

If your Chevy/Pontiac pieces look like the ones off my Olds, I'd say they're all the same.
That is if these are even what you were talking about...
