We had an Eskie that we had to put down at 17, 3 years ago. Great dogs, but ours was a little neurotic.

Really sorry for your loss, it's never a good day when you lose a pet.
They can even not particularly like Chinese . . . unless you are eating it. Nothing like watching Treto munch on a piece of lo mien broccoli for a while before giving up.

He still searches for Xena daily, and is spending most of his time just lying around.
I may go ahead and grab this 4 month old Frenchton for a fill in pal in the meantime.
