I started the project about three months ago and decided to use the Buick swap for the simplicity sake of the swap

Great work and you are moving right along on this project. Kudos! Consider a four barrel Q-jet and lightweight aluminum intake will give you both better mileage and more power and can come with a nice electric choke for the winter. I linked one at TA Performance but other Buick vendors may have it cheaper or someone may be selling it used on the Buick boards. Also spend a few more bucks and get a much better cam & kit if you were considering putting a stocker back in. Not at all wild or unreliable just much better than original. Maybe close to 300HP & more torque with these upgrades and great driveability mileage etc. Just an enjoyable ride that you will take pride in and be real pleased with how nice and strong it runs. Double Kudos on employing daughter helpers!
