Re: Latest Aquisition

Yeah, was FS here for $4k, I went and looked at it for sh*ts and giggles and drove away with it for $1500.
Was owned by a very elderly man, it was his son's car.
Always garaged kept, interior was nice but I had stuff to make it nicer.

Under hood needs work, exhaust tips need to go...
I might put a mild 455 in this one since the 307 is needing new seals, easy swap...

Definately needs new tires/rims.
Tires are dry rotted from sitting, I've seen '84's with black 15" SSIII's, looks awesome.

As for the ricer comments, hate all you want... it's still better than what most drive/own on this site
Car looks much better in person and will look even better once painted back to original.

Here is Tom Lentz's '84 from the Oldsgmail list that's now owned by a friend of mine (who I purchased my '83 H/O from), he has a body kit on his:

Re: Latest Aquisition

If you are painting that car in the 84 Hurst olds colours it will look really nice. Ignore the "Ricer comment" I've never seen a ricer with a 307 awaiting a 455 swap... or a Ricer owner that owns so many Gbodys

The 15 ISS3 Will really make a diffrence I say keep it Olds Rallys.

Re: Latest Aquisition

I ain't hating, just not my cup of tea... If i had a Cutty 88hurstolds would be my togo guy... And yeah it's better then my ride for now but i have never been a fan of ground effects on most g body's.. with the wheels you are looking at it will look nice after it's redone in a Hurst olds paint scheme. The history behind it is interesting i wonder why GM didn't approve?? Just like i've kinda have been researching the Pontiac GT from Myrtle Motors... :!: just kinda reminded me of a ricer honda though...

Those gold rims look great. White paint with gold pinstriping(69 Hurst/Olds kinda theme) perhaps?

Re: Latest Aquisition

I would have to go with the gold hurst rims. Maybe a 403 with a shaker 6.6 ltr paint shaker gold. Not throught the origanal hood. But thats just me.
