Grand National Hood Hinges on a Cutlass

Has anyone swapped the Grand National hood hinges onto a Cutlass and know if the bolt holes will line up? thinking about getting a set when i replace my hood to a steel 2inch cowl. i like the idea of the strut cylinders over the coiled springs. i seen on rock auto they offer the cylinders with a fiberglass or steel hood.

I have a Grand National and hate those hood struts as they always fails. I am on my 3rd set. I have often thought of putting the counter balanced springs from another g body as they never fail.

Alright, here are a few pics. Fwiw, I'm running a 4" glass hood, so a steel hood would require stronger struts to hold the hood up. These are Regal/GN hinges.
Basically, we welded the upper strut mount to the hinge itself, then used ball studs top and bottom. I got the struts and hardware from www.liftsupportsdepot.com. Also, I will upgrade to all stainless struts down the road when the Cutlass is road ready. Hope this helps....

Don't recall tbh, maybe 30 lbs. It has a steel inner structure likely similar to your Ram Air hood.

I am looking to add a single hood strut much like the early Regal's had. I have an aluminum hood on my 81 Cutlass and ordered the single strut for a aluminum hood 78 Regal. I have a 78 Regal inner fender as well as the hood bracket. Will the inner fender bolt in where the Cutlass was? I'm trying to keep it stock looking.
