Mechanical Engineer, Design hardware for the Power, and Communication utility companies. Basically everything you see on your power poles, except the conductor it self.

I work as a mechanical engineer for GM Powertrain. In the late 70's I was a supervisor in the crank, rod, cam, and piston area and our plant built 305 and 350's.Since then I spent a lot of time in facilities engineering. Currently I'm the environmental engineer. Ironically, my car is the usually the one in the lot that's leaking oil, load, doesn't meet emission regulations, creates noise pollution, and consumes more than it's fair share of natural resources. Our plant now builds HFV6's, six speed automatics, Gen V truck engines and is just getting set up for the 2016 Camaro LT1 engine. I wish I could put a Gen V LT1 engine in my Malibu but I don't see that happening soon. Maybe in twenty years. It is getting a 1995 LT1 /4L60E though for this winter's G-body project.
My hot rod project money mostly comes from buying and selling car parts.

I'm currently pursing a bachelors in motorsports engineering at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I decided to leave my job to focus on school for as long as I can. While I was in High school I worked almost 40 hours a week to be able afford gas and insurance for both of my cars, and have a little money to play with the G-Body. I was lucky enough to have a management job with decent pay for my last year of high school, so that helped out a lot. Im planning on just working for the summer now to save money for school. No plans on selling my G though, I'll take it off the road before I do that.

when I started the regal project, I worked at a chain auto parts store, 14 years later, the regal is still a project, and have been building the boxes that mount on 26' moving/cargo trucks...

Im a mechanic at Norfolk Southern railroad. When im not doing that im usually buying and selling car parts and guitars. The money I make from selling stuff stays in my paypal account and goes directly to toys. That way I don't spend too much directly out of my paycheck.....still happens though!
