They are not new. They are remanufactured. Who knows what the core will be. I'd be afraid you would end up with somthing that has been welded back together. I've seen it before. Also, who knows what kind of trauma it will suffer in shipping. You have a known good core that is part of a matching rotating assembly. Have it machined.I've been looking into picking one up from OReilly's. It comes with new bearings too, and it's 50 bucks cheaper than the machine shop quoted me for turning my crankshaft. Are they any good, or cheap chinese junk?

It's not as bad as the pictures make it look, but it's bad either way.Not many shops grind cranks - they send them out and you pay a sur-charge. I would google crankshaft grinding in your area and deal with them directly. I am fortunate and have Crankshaft Craftsmen and Moldex Crankshaft by me that are both well known and in business over 40 years. If it can be ground it's $90.00. Looking at pic's of your crank and bearings I'm going to say its beyond turning and metal needs to be added. O'reillys, Rock Auto, and others are just selling a package from a grinder. Have you ever dealt with Northern Auto out of Sioux City Iowa ?? Been using them for 15 years.

I've seen worse that has been fixed with turning, only time will tell. I project it will be running again by fall time.looks don't mean much, measurements do

I know. I think I'l get by with just a turning, but I'll find out soon enough.you can add weld to a crank and machine it to bring it back to stock size or machine it and chrome it to bring it back to stock size.
