I've been at this for a long time. Even with me doing my own work (Cam bearings, removing-installing rods, heads ) I can tell your going to have bundle of cash in this motor. Maybe you might want to take the same route you did on your trans. Here's an upgrade option and located just north of you.

Rebuilt early 70's 455 Buick, carb to pan, $600.00obo.
here is the link....

That's a great price for a complete engine including the carb and exhaust manifolds even if it wasn't a BB. That carb could be an 800 cfm if the engine is a 75 and up which is worth about half the asking price

Hmm.... I've seen this one floating on CL for the longest time, it appears he's reposted it about a week ago. Gonna have to wait a while to get some money built up, but I'm definitely considering this. I've always wanted to do something with a 455 Buick, 73 buick century with a 455 to be specific, and this'd be a good place holder until I rebuild my 350.

That would be epic compared to a 350!

If it was closer, I would buy it!

why not give him some money to hold it for you.....you don't see many 455 floating around. But once you drive your car with a 455 I think you might forget about your 350

I literally have no money. None. I've been out of a job since May, and no luck finding one. Might have to do some odd jobs or sell some random parts I have lying around, but that thing's been on there forever, I don't think it's going anywhere.

My crank number is 1235419, so if any of you come across one in your travels, or internet browsing, let me know.
