Now anyone got a

Awesome Bro , but this isn't a swap ! Original 4 SPD car and it is an absolute nightmare to get parts . Everything was fine until I got to the trans parts . But hey it's my toy and just like like everything in else in life that you enjoy , there's bound to be frustration.
If all you can find is a later model meant for a torque tube equipped car that is missing holes, that is what I used. Go back up to the picture with the open floor. See the "C" clamp that goes from the top mount hole to the lowest housing hole? It is how I made this type tail work. http://www.ebay.com/itm/290996279996?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

Found a tailhousing from like a 72 nova that I think will work bro. Does not have the 3 holes on the bottom and has tapped holes on top 3 holes. If it doesn't work , then I'm gonna have alot to sell . Lol

Only if the side is flat. The 3 holes on the bottom were for a big counter weight that came on some cars like a Vega.

If I knew I would have had to go through all this , I would have put a Muncie in it. But , like I say I was at the transmission shop today deciphering all this today . This ol dude came walking up with lil cigar in his mouth and said Super Saginaw huh ? I'm like yeah , not sure about super yet. He proceeded to explain to me that Muncie had more tickets of explains than the Saginaw's ever did. He gauranteed me that for what I'm going to do with the car , I would be very happy . Now , I dunno but I'm good with it now. LOL

This is the tailshaft you want to get

The bracket mounts like this. You don't need the torque tube mounts like this one. So I think the 72 Nova Saginaw tail shaft will work.

Not to beat a dead horse, but, I've seen plenty of broken Muncie transmissions. If you try hard enough you can break anything. That said, I have always used Saginaws because of the much better first gear ratios. On the street, you want a good overall ratio to get going from a dead stop. I find 10 to 1 about perfect. An overall ratio like that also takes the strain off your rear so it will last too. You can do this several ways, and even GM did what I prefer- a good deep first gear coupled with highway gears in the rear end. If you use a Muncie with a 2:20 first gear, what kind of rear ratio will you need to get going? 3:73? 4:11? That gets old fast if you need to go highway speed ever. If all you do is tear around on the local streets, then fine, have at it. And if you want to race, get a race transmission. But I like to travel so I stay with 3:08 or 3:23 rear ratios. Thus, a 3:11 or 3:50 first gear works perfectly. I get great street manners and decent highway mileage without stressing my motor. As for strength- I have always used Pontiac V-8s like 350 and 400 and my Saginaws have taken lots of abuse. The cast iron case is very stiff. Upon tear down, the only thing I have ever found worn was the wavy washer that goes at the rear of the main shaft. A Torrington flat roller bearing used instead will solve that. Of course the synchronizers wear, but that is true for all manual transmissions. That is why I suggested that if it has not been done yet- an overhaul makes good sense while you have it apart.

Look at this. A guy in North Carolina has a Saginaw going for $10 on Epay. Three rings on the input shaft means 3:50 first gear and the flat sided tail means A/G body. Local pickup.
