The stock shifter will fit. I didn't think much of the stock shifter, and I'm not trying to advertise. Just being honest.

That's what I get for waiting few years to get back into the groove on the ol girl.

Any idea what year your trans is? Or what gear ratio? The rings on the input shaft tell what ratio. Pretty much any Hurst shifter will work if you don't mind where the stick ends up. But you will need the shorter rods since with the A/G body mount the shifter is about six inches more forward. I used a '68 Firebird shifter because it has an offset stick mount. With that I was able to use a '77 Firebird console and the stick fit it nicely. The A/G mount was used to clear the dash and the bench seat.

Well Sir , the Saginaw's I have are 2 groove . Which through research shows like a 3.11 . First. I'm learning more day by day since joining this site. And believe you me I am finding out more daily on these cars ! I will try and post exactly the Hurst kit I have .

Yup, 3:11, I used that one for years behind a Pontiac 400 and 3:23 rear. Right now I have the 3:50 first gear model and that is where I got the flat sided tail from.
