I'm going to have to take it down to the guys at the transmission shop so the debate will be over ! They still can't believe a 79 Malibu came with a 4 SPD .

Score! Now, has that gear box been overhauled lately? The whole mainshaft has to come out to swap tail housings. If it has not been done- now is a great time.

Just curious,,,,,,can someone tell me what the 2.85 first gear saginaw 4-speed came in? The concept Grand Am CA came with the 2.85 first gear saginaw and a 3:23 posi rear axle ratio. .. Thoughts?

Had to cold bend 1-2 rod . Per, Hurst that's a common issue . Just cold bend . I'm like geesh so used vice long sockets and big closed in wrenches . Lol
