I was considering using both. I'll run it with the internal filter first. I can later cut the line and add the inline filter.I have an inline filter and an internal filter, no problems here. But yes, the internal filter with the ONE WAY check valve certainly prevents fuel draining from the carb, even if it's only off for an hour.

Good info to know, thanks.carb cleaner and compressed air.....the replacement filter is over $8 here in Ontario. I have one as a back up
