I ordered a pump to carb SS fuel line from inline tube. I'm having trouble getting it to seal at the pump. I called their help desk and pretty much was told to twerk it with an deep socket, also to seat it and loosen it a bunch of times for the flair to seat and keep trying till it seats. The old line seals just fine but the nuts are striped. Any suggestions..

Look closely. Is it leaking around the threads or around the tubing?
may just need some Teflon tape around threads

Have you looked at the flare to see if it was formed properly. If it's not there should be some uneven pressure marks if it not formed properly.
Both sides of the flair look the same to my nothing odd.

its leaking around the tube not the thread, is it ok to use Teflon on the fuel lines?

Yes. Sometimes the flare on aftermarket stuff isn't as good and Teflon tape on the threads will tighten it up for lack of better wording. A couple rounds on the threads and hopefully you will be good to go

That's one of the problems with stainless lines is there is very little room for adjustment and because their hardness they don't conform well if not perfectly lined up.

I tweeked it the best I could it pretty much falls in to place but still the flair just won't seal its clearly coming from between the tube and the nut not the thread. I have a new fuel pump I never installed I'm gonna try that tomorrow and if it still leaks then we'll see how their customer service is.
