I figured so. I could have sworn somebody claimed they were the small castings. Does it have any differences in calibration compared to Vin Y cars?

my notes show that VIN 9 carbs had EL secondary rods versus the VINY DD secondary rods. Also a very small difference in the Open distance of the air flaps. beyond that they are identical.

That carb had a factory electric choke?

VIN 9 did not have electric choke. They ran the heat tube from the intake. But you can change it out.

For those wondering, the 800 CFM bumps are in the body casting. Also, the venturi booster rings are thinner on the 800s. Here's the easy way to tell:

I thought the primary calibration was richer, interesting it is the same. Were Vin Y 800 cfm castings? No wonder Vin Y cars pinged. I ran CL rods and got pinging on a 307 Qjet, DD is retardly lean. I can't find the EL rods in the charts online. Of course our 307's were non CCC till 86 up here and nearly every mid 70's till mid 80's carb up here had CV secondary rods when I got them.

Just got back some info on one of my 84' Hursts...it is #3193 and was built February 29th 1984...there is no 29th of February...its a leap year car...nothing really special but a cool fact...took about a month for the onfo but submitted it right befote the holidays.
Cool almost fact- maybe- on Leap Year H/Os: It is suspected that at least some of those weird ones converted on Leap Year were made with black hood scoops and/or wings from Cars and Concepts. Judy Badgley and I were talking about that possibility a few years back. It seemed as if there were a handful of examples randomly show up and they were Leap Year cars. Nobody or nothing has been found to absolutely verify this suspicion, but random H/Os for sale with black scoops, etc., were found in various spots in the country. Don't know if that was a goof or co-winky-dink or how that transpired. Might be something, might be nothing.
