I prefer the height and the more readily available 275/60, also less expensive.

Im trying to stay within a speedometer friendly group.............2 mph is fine..........over 5 and I'll be greeted with lights in the mirror.......
all boils down to diameter..............
to each his own

265 50 15 = 25.4 inches
stock is 25.3
275 60 15 = 28

speedo with 275 reads 10 mph off at 70 mph.............and the different diameter affects your rear gear ratio...................

If you're trying to stay within a specific range for your speedometer why not just change the gear in the transmission for the speedo and run a rear tire that won't look so funky?

That tire is going to look goofy back there.

This is my Regal with Cooper Cobra 275/60 rear and 235/60 fronts IMO an under 26" tire would not look right in the rear.
Trans speedo gears can be changed and ratio boxes are out there to do the same thing that you just screw in between the trans and the speedo cable.

The speedo gear can be changed yes, but the rear gear ratio..........goes from a stock 2.73 to a 2.47 effective gear ratio when you go to a
taller tire. IS it truly worth it (TO ME) to go through all of that? Thanks for the pic of the 275s but I will stick with my plan. To each his own.
Oh and your flares adds to the look of your 275s as well...............which I don't have on my Olds.

A speedo gear takes a simple calculation, a $20 purchase, and 10 minutes to change.
