Thanks guys. Looking back on it, I'm so glad I decided to have someone else build it and not do it myself, or even GC it myself. What a royal PITA! Inspector came, shot the breeze for 10 minutes, then handed the paperwork over! We're good to go, just need some paperwork handed in and grass planted in the spring!

It says "seeding".... doesn't say it has to be grass. Although, I bet NY has followed the "legalization" craze so perhaps a cash crop is in order since that is also a type of grass... supplement the discretionary income and all?

In all seriousness, if there WAS something that ordinance might otherwise dislike planting - I know so areas have palates to use and lists of banned/"invasive" designated flora, that could be an excuse to get around it. "I only seeded the place like I was told to, they didn't specify to adhere to the palate."

Does seem like nice country to grow plants

Plant the grass now if you can.

Got a fair amount accomplished this weekend. Built a riser for the washer and dryer to sit on. We have a top load washer and we're both taller so it helps. Assembled the entertainment center, coffee table, and bed. Got the couch in, started on some of the other smaller items. Boy I'm outta shape!

I like the furniture. Where did you find all that ?
The entertainment center and matching coffee table were at Lowe's on 50% markdown. Weren't even looking for them at the time but already knew basically what we wanted. For the price we had to get them. Found the bedroom set on FB marketplace. Brand new but 1/4 price. The guy buys tractor trailer loads of returns and damaged goods from Wayfair, then resells them. The dresser had a small crack on the edge on the very bottom in the back. Not structural. It's our first matching set of furniture ever. LOL

Really like the style of the stuff from Lowes. Ive got oak living room tables that I bought years ago. Claw feet. They fit my 120 year old house. I told my wife when my cars are rolling under their own power I want to redo them in a gray color.

Spent the day moving, with the help of a few friends, we were able to get everything out of the shipping container and 95% of the items from where we were staying. My back is done for so it's time to kick back and relax for an hour before I fall asleep. Boxes are scattered everywhere, we have soooo much to setup, figure out where stuff is going, etc. but we're in.
