Bought this bracket assembly. Slightly more work than i thought which is typical. But i think i have to remove 2 bolts on the water pump and then bolt the bracket on. If i remove those 2 bolts should i have to replace the seal? Or just get all the tension off it and then its safe to remove the bolts?
Went pretty good except they sent me a defective piece. The small "lever" is suppose to have 2 different sized tapped holes....they are both the same. So i need eother the correct piece or drill the alt bolt hole a hair bigger and find a matching 3/8 bolt. The alt looks pretty close to the valve cover. Theres a chance that the stud for power might make contact
Looks like a nice setup, does it properly line up with your pulleys? There is a factory, non A/C passenger mount alternator setup but uses a shorter water pump, I got creative and spaced it out with my longer A/C water pump. The gasket behind will reseal, I have R and R the water pump multiple times without issue. You may want to contact the company about the bolt size issue. You can actually reclock the body to put the power stud in a better position, just put a paper clip the hole so the brushes don't slip out. Also as short a belt as possible will help but I find new belts stretch a lot.
Sorry it’s upside down. Thats how I mounted one using a kit like yours. Doesn’t your power connection on the alt have the rubber boot thats supposed to be there?

No rubber boot on this alt. I contacted the company about the bolt/lever issue. Just waiting until tomorrow for a reply. @olds307, what do you mean reclock? I have to do something to the alt now for being in a new position?
Got the bolts and finished putting the bracket on. Looks like it wont work. Bracket slightly rubs the very inside pulley. And the alternator doesnt line up with the water pump.
