So i called the place i got the bracket from and asked if i can buy some spacer stock to make my own spacers. They had me measure the water pump to see whats going on since they said theres 2 version, 5.6 and 6.... Im starting to think they sent me the wrong kit. I told him that people used these on their 403s and its a sbo.

You should have the 6 inch water pump----actually its 5.95

Ya your right. Im thinking they sent me either the wrong kit or not enough spacers to do a 6"....the kit says it can do both sizes.....but....i dont have enough of there spacers to make it lign up. Until then, i will install a fuse panel and do some wiring til i get it resolved

Do i need to keep this alt bracket on? Im trying to get rid of all the extra stuff and not sure if the power steering pump really needs this as a support

That support can be removed.

Don't throw it away! I'll take it if you don't want it.

So CVF emailed me today about my bracket issue. They said this issue has never happened with them before...which doesnt surprise me cuz this car has always put me thru some sort of BS. They will send me everything i need to make it right. Really happy with them. Most places wouldnt take the time to help out but im glad they are.

Got the new pieces put on. Got it so the alternator lines up perfect with water pump pulley....but....its still isnt right. Kinda stumped now.......now it covers up the other groove for power steering. I need some ideas to make it right.
