I bought blazer knuckles, adjustable upper control arms from Southside Machine and QA1 Coilovers.
Look at how far down the suspension hangs relative to the frame.
Specifically, the upper control arm which is resting on the frame.

Am I missing something or is this to be expected?
It has me worried to say the least

Thank you,
Corey Dunigan, GKP

I'll say normal, given the circumstances. The "solid" stock UCAs have a droop stop; yours don't.

So, I can't stop thinking about this.

Understanding the control arms will rise up off the frame when weight is added to the car (motor, transmission and front clip).....
Is it not concerning that with no load on the front end, the arm is against the frame?
I mean what happens if I get airborn?
My control arm is going to bash against frame, make an awful sound and likely get bent, right?

Anyone else have any experiences with the straight tubular control arms?
Do they all hit the frame when the suspension is not loaded?

airborne?you're not building an orange charger and outrunning a sheriff that's sporting a dog named flash for a co-pilot are you?
they will contact the frame anytime you put stands under the frame and the suspension is at full droop.some guys put lengths of heater hose over the knurled sleeves to protect the frame.i almost bought the same set up.but decided ones with a bump stop was in order after painting my chassis.

I get it. In theory, no I don't plan on intentional launches.
With that, it seems like a recipe for disaster that I can't mentally move past it.

Then your only choice is to buck up and spend some money on quality parts from RideTech, UMI, Spohn, etc....
