Finished what I started over 4th of July weekend. I had to replace the tub stopper and drain in the master shower. Got that done early on the 4th, but got the opening in the floor (in this case, the basement ceiling) covered and sealed with expanding canned foam yesterday.

Don't worry, I didn't leave it looking like that, I cut away the excess after it cured.

There are dudes up on top of my house making a huge racket. Better them than me doing that roof...

It was a family affair at the local car show tonight. Brought a couple of cars and the kids (they love their A&W) and had a nice night out.

I showed up early to grab a good spot, and then set up camp. It came as a surprise to a lot of folks that the Camaro was my wife's. Lots of stories (tall tales?) were told to familiar and new faces.

These were parked with the front bumpers lined up.

ACR Viper, one of my dream cars. Couple of ladies drove it in. Very cool.

The hood stayed closed on this GT500, but the VMP sticker gave a clue.

Really good turnout.

Had to run to the office to pick up my scrubbed laptop (don't be a dick and send classified info on an unclassified network - it ruins people's days). Thankfully only 37 emails waiting for me. Only.

On the way back I snapped this picture:

Kind of had these feels after 12 years together:

Got home to find the roofers gone. Picked up four old roofing nails off the driveway. And grabbed a picture... stupid tree is in the way. ;)

Our modest little home... cannot wait to pay the not so modest invoice.

Only had a few mins to play w/things last night but I finally got the Ridetech C/O's for my 64 swb truck delivered. I purchased these 2nd hand but they're new & only used for mock-up purposes. Popped one in quickly to verify no issues installing into my upper/lower mounts.

I have to verify some G-body front wheel fitment tonight so I probably won't get to test out compression/extension on the shocks until tomorrow. If everything plays nice, I can do a final weld of the upper/lower brackets. Once they're welded, I'll trim back the old upper air bag mount as needed for better clearance.

The eagle finally landed, now trying to decide what motor to go with. All my buddies are giving me different ideas and its driving me nuts. Just put in a 6.0 out of junkyard to do it quick and easy, do a 6.0 or 5.3 with a nice size turbo, and do compound turbos on the 5.3

Actually over last weekend, trying to get some suitable shade out back which faces west. We got this 12x16 shade sail from Amazon, and a couple 4x4's and hardware from home dopey. Had to anchor to lag bolts into the house, set the posts, then Sunday worked on hooking up the shade. Still needs to be a bit more taut, but looks good. Last pic is while mowing earlier and down close to the golf course looking up.
We also just had new basement windows and door installed (paid for back in March but 'Rona delayed the install).
