Jared, good to see y'all finally back on the GP!!! It's been long awaited for all of us, looking forward to the upcoming progress buddy!
Also, congrats on making the move out to the country. We're currently on the outskirts of the city, but wouldn't mind going further out in the next 10 years maybe.

Thanks friends. I'm excited to be back on the car and very excited about the prospect of living somewhere much less populous and much more conservative.

While I was working on a few small projects on the Roadmaster, Sean was over at the storage with me and I put him to work on the defroster duct project on the Grand Prix. We did a quick test of the defroster door vacuum actuator on the duct James fixed me up with. It checked good so Sean cleaned it up, replaced all the foam and switched out the right hand extension from the Cutlass style to the Grand Prix style.

He then put it in the car. Now we're ready to put the dash back in. Hopefully we'll get it back in the car on Sunday.....

Having been through the dash removal/installation process myself, I can appreciate the effort that you are putting into your car. It is not so much that it is hard work, but it is incredibly tedious to get each item reinstalled and aligned tightly, and in the correct order so that you don't have to remove it to install something else. Strange how the dash can be removed in about 45-60 minutes, but takes a whole weekend to reinstall.

Are you changing interior color?

Yeah what's up with the gray dash pad?
Yes, I'm switching from burgandy to black. The pictures don't show the color that well. Three years ago I painted almost everything with SEM Landau Black and then the low luster clear. Post 420....

Dash came out at 424.....

Dash painting at 432....

The dash is a little dusty, even though I kept it under a sheet all this time. Obviously there is still a ton of work to put it together but I'm really happy it and the side filler pieces are back in the car. Hopefully we can build some momentum off of this.

I think there's still a 4 door bonne at a local yard. I already sold the gauges and bezel but if you need weird stuff like clips or fasteners I can see what I can do.
