It is basically a slightly improved TR6060 like the one used in the Hellcat, except with a removable bell housing. Better synchros and stronger two piece gears etc. I really would like a TKX wide ratio 5 spd, still may happen.

It's not an improved 6060, a better way to think of a T56 Magnum is that it's TR6060 guts in a T56 case, thus a 6060 that bolts in where a T57 did. The magnum F adds a reluctor that talks to a 411 PCM. The Camaros and Vettes with a 6060 used a completely different reluctor design and the 2 are not interchangeable.

Makes a lot of sense, basically makes it much more universal TR6060, using the T-56 case. The best rating I could find was Hellcat version at 650 ft-lbs. I saw the same, stronger two piece gears and assumed they did a few tricks to get 700 ft-lbs. I think I may start gathering the extra parts for the TKX swap this year, even if I have to wait till next year for the trans. Will end up about the same for everything but the trans, 4L80E go for stupid money used lately. Pretty sure Donovan can ask stupid money for his T-56 and probably get it.

Thats why I am torn on what to do with the GTO and its T56 issues, has already been rebuilt under warranty multiple times but they only fixed what was obviously broken. One of the times they didn't even change out the slave which blew on the way home. So thinking of getting rid of the bad juju and getting a Magnum myself, but also been blowing all kinds of money into the Monte and the Blazer. Ahhh first world problems

Avoiding the temptation to take the new transmission out of the crate and start playing with it, and instead hammering away on the filler work on the passenger side fender.

Up till this weekend I’ve been more or less procrastinating on it, doing little bits here and there. But this weekend I’ve forced myself to hammer down and put in the time and labor, and it’s starting to pay off.
Starting to make decent progress now.

Looking good, Donovan, looking forward to seeing what you’ve got in store for the rear quarters. 👍

Another parts delivery today, some new glass for the outside mirrors, and a new GM Restoration Parts power mirror switch for the same.

The old one probably works, I’ll keep it as a backup, but I really just wanted a brand new switch to go with what is soon to be the virtually all new power mirrors.

The other nice thing about this switch is that the lettering is white vs the old switch’s yellowish lettering. If one wanted to be factory correct in a Camaro, the yellow is actually proper, but this ain’t no restoration, nor is it a Camaro. It’ll suit the Juggernaut build perfectly.

It’s tough to see in the picture, but the passenger’s side has the correct “Objects in mirror are closer than they appear” at the bottom, but what it really should say is “Objects in mirror are about to disappear in a cloud of tire smoke”.
😈

But somehow I don’t think that’d all fit.
😅

Could get the "objects in mirror are losing" stickers.

Not to get too side tracked but do you know if they make convex mirrors in that shape???
