Hey everyone!

So, my battery died—no surprise, it’s not the best. I bought it quickly about three years ago, and I’m tired of being at the mercy of my interior dome light.

I’m looking for the strongest, most reliable car battery out there. With all the advancements in electric technology, surely there’s something powerful and long-lasting, right?

Would love to hear your recommendations.

Thanks!

Dez

seeing as you're in Boston(roughly) check with the auto zone in Somerville, on Washington at McGrath. It's the hub/warehouse for this area and if anyone around here has the largest capacity battery for your application IN STOCK it's them.I've gotten some odd ball stuff there before when no one else carried it.

for long lasting, I would go with an AGM battery.
as for BRAND, that's (almost) a crap shoot. there are only a handful of manufacturers here in the U.S. . I work part-time at Advance and depending on the battery model, we get DieHards built in South Korea, Mexico, Germany, and the U.S.
you will probably also want to pick up a battery maintainer/charger that can also de-sulfate as needed

I'm not sold. The OE AGM in the wife's jeep didn't go 3 years. I told her to stop using the autolamp/delay...battery killers IMO.

I have a 6 year old redtop Optima in my coupe, but I've heard a lot of drama about them.

A few years back when I had my diesel truck, the Motorcraft batteries had a 100 month warranty...don't know if that's still the case

yeah, but it's a Jeep
the Optima quality seems to have fallen off the last few years
100 month? prolly pro-rated so not worth the effort

A top-drawer pure lead AGM like Odyssey may last longer. I had a cheaper brand with adulterated lead, and it lasted about like conventional.

The big gotcha I've had with AGM is, it performs like new right up until the day it stops working at all. One day it's full strength, the next day without warning it just goes off a cliff and dies.

Thank you. When it goes dead. Can it be revived? Thanks Dez
