Looking for some opinions on rear coil springs for my 80 cutlass . the car sits a couple inches low for my taste and I thought about buying a new set of rear coils . I wonder how much better the aftermarket cats flow as opposed to factory? My factory cat that was in my 80 cutlass is in very nice shape and been sitting on the shelf for several years . If it’s an option for you I’m sure we can work something out .

looking for a little info . i have a 454 chevy big block at work that runs our generator near as i can tell its from the mid 80s .has(hi-perf pass) stamped on the block i can get other numbers if i know where to look.weve had it the entire 32 years ive been there and it runs off natural gas...

So yes it’s a 3 speed auto (th400) and I found out in fact the Monte is a 3 spd w/ od. Biggest reason for column swap is the shifter needle housing is broken so no indication what gear I’m in . (Easy enough to drive without it ) and signal light switch is screwed up have to slam it to get it to...

I had hoped to just swap columns and be done . If I have to do a bunch of wiring changes I’ll just hold out for an 80 cutlass interior . What I didn’t want is it looking like a Monte interior in an Oldsmobile . It sounds like it will be visually different .

how much different does the gbody Monte Carlo interior look from an olds? I’m considering a bucket seat , console shift and steering column swap from a 1986 Monte Carlo into my 80 cutlass .i would prefer all Oldsmobile but this stuff is local to me and might be an option
