For the price i like the gear swap but i really like the gps style so i wont have to worry about changing rear ends or tires and its super accurate. It's just a bit expensive. I'll have to start saving my pennies and just go big
I agree. I was just changing some of the colors and I really like it. I'm not sure if I could get it to fit into my current cluster but I really like this idea and it records 0-60 and 1/4 mile. Thanks again because i may be getting this lol
Could either of you explain or even send a link of a gps speedo please. I would like to so some research and look into that for sure to kind of get away from the mechanical but i do like my gauge cluster
After some research i have found a kit to swap out the electronic one with the mechanical one on ebay for $83 so i might be looking into that. Its much easier than finding a tail housing and still having to swap out gears.
Well I believe the speedo is based on a magnet inside the tail housing. I will have to double check with how it all is set up and i can take some pics for you. I currently have 14 inch wheels and tires but i do plan to go to 16. if it is that simple to replace with a mechanical speedo gear that...
Okay before i even start i will apologize in advanced. I know the question I am about to ask is on this forum somewhere but i just find it easier to create a thread instead of searching for hours.
So now onto my problem. I have swapped over a chevy 350 in my 84 cutlass and now have a 700r4 that...
Okay well thanks for the help anyways. I want to try to make it as simple as possible without changing a whole lot and that's why I use this site so much. Lots of information
Well just like most everyone on this site probably knows as well as I do, these cars will never be finished. So this leads into my questions about putting a cam into my engine. I have a chevy 350 tbi from a 93 caprice. It's all stock but I wanted to make a small upgrade and put a mild cam into...
Thanks everyone! Luckily my car is rust free but I expect them to still be a pain because let's face it, nothing ever goes as planned for us car guys. But I did put my car away for the winter so I'm gonna pickup some things and do it in the spring
hey guys, just a quick question
I believe one of my body mounts is bad and wanted to replace the few in the back and just wanted to know how difficult it is and any help to make this process easier. I've never done this before so I figured someone on here has. Thanks
I can certainly try. I did mostly basic stuff such as distributor, ignition/starter wire, provided power for fuel pump relay. Your best bet is to buy a Haynes manual and it will show everything. The pink and black wire for my car is all power for the engine so I used that to power the things...
hello everyone! If I could just ask some opinions that would be nice. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to look. So I have an 84 cutlass supreme and I swapped a Chevy 350 and want to put in a 700r4 and need a new crossmember. I heard a couple suggestions and one was from jegs so my question...
