One other option is a Winters rear end. It has a bolt on kit to mount it on a G body and the gears are inexpensive and easy to change, with hand tools you can do it in about 1/2 hour. It has straight cut gears though so they make a bit of noise
Same size I run on my Malibu. Mustang stock size makes it easy to get a huge variety of tires in that size.I recently bought 245/45X17s. So thats a mute point.
