So I realized this morning that I never really introduced myself, figured now would be as good of a time as any. Not really a FNG anymore but most of ya'll have no clue who I am.

I've been on forums forever and built half a dozen cars, mostly all GM stuff but I love anything that's fast and American or German. I just sold my 2013 CTS-V (my 2nd V) earlier this year so that I could really focus on this project that I've been dragging around for 4 years.

Speaking of projects, that's why we are here. It's a 1981 Regal that actually ran when I bought it, despite being hideous to look at. Since then I've torn it down to nothing, sold or thrown away everything that was in it, and started a YouTube channel covering the process of building it back up. When finished, it will be a big tire, pro street, street raced, GN clone, except it will be painted white, because i can. It has a 6.2L LT1 out of a 2017 Corvette that should make around 1,400 rwhp with twin 72mm turbos, and I'm gonna drive the sh*t out of it.

I'll post more update threads here as they come, but for now, here are some pics of the car how I got it, and how it looks now.

nice set up and work but I have one question for you. With all the cutting and th emods you are doing with the front end why didn't you change the mount for the upper control arms. GM put them on an angle so the front end won't dive when you hit the brakes and that creates problems trying to get these cars to plant the nose entering a corner. We were not pernitted to change the mount so we could use equal length uppers like the F bodies.

Valid question with two answers really. If I should ever enter any type of class racing, the front suspension mounting points are not allowed to be altered in any way. The second, and probably most important, is I don't have a need to since this car will never corner.

Pretty sad when you don't have the skills to box up the factory frame. Build a new frame just to get rid of all that extra exhaust pipe...

I joke!

Awesome start with a solid goal in mind. And starting with a 6.2 is where I would start if I was going to do it. LS style engines or not, you can never go wrong with more cubic inches.

And about the A-arm angles...I doubt if the front wheels will be on the ground long enough to worry about turning. Might want to get a parachute on the back of that thing.
