I've personally seen a monte spit an axle out and slam it to the ground! The DA driving it got out and started kicking the quarter...."dude, you shouldn't run drag radials on a stock 7.5"

One of the better ones though....a couple young guys that worked at a local Chevy dealer "borrowed" 2 brand new cobalt SS' to see what they'd do. The one kid tried to drag launch one....snapped the CV almost immediately lol! Try to explain that to the boss the next day.

And the wheels just slowly rolled down the track in parallel while the car did a death spin. Priceless.

Did the SS in the far lane have 2010 Camaro SS headlights?

saw a different vid of the same thing, looked like is was filmed from the tower behind it. guess they should've used longer studs!

my thoughts on the "Firebirds"?

The car doesn't have a lift kit; the wheels are only 24s. It did shear all of the lugs off of the rear though. That is why you shouldn't use wheel adapters/spacers in high powered applications. Those heavy, cast wheels didn't help matters any either; the black MCSS has lightweight, forged 24s made to fit the car.

No, just aftermarket headlights/HIDs.

Just when you thought it was OK to use wheel adapters.....Sucks for that guy for sure. I think Veltboy is a member here and is a decent guy to deal with. Maybe he has some more insight on root cause.

they forgot to rent a tow truck and a flatbed....and it looks like they rented the track just for 2 cars, one down the nite is over

Makes sense, spacers and cheap studs. You can tell the black is more powerful and is just a better build. I too like the converted Camaro's to Firebird's. Although they still don't cover all the Camaro's flaws.

Wow! I've never seen that happen before! It's amazing some of the things that happen when things break. Thankfully no one was injured.
