So far I readjusted the rear brakes toped off the gear oil front back and transfer case witch by the way someone else filled it with ATF so I'll be changing that hopefully there's no damages done and replaced all the tie rods and sleeves. In pocking around under there I found another issue from the last oner.the steering box was loose. Thank God there's no damage to the frame they are known to crack by the box. So I did all that and took it up the street. Wow what a difference! I wasn't even scared. Yes it still needs king pins but I ordered them and the socket this morning. Now it only death wobbles on hard braking so I'll go easy until next weekend. I'm cold I'm tired and I'm hungry so it's time to clean up and call it a night. Here's some pictures of the old rods and bent center link. Oh and the new installed

And a quick overview of the bottom

Still quite a bit of work to do under there. Yes I see the vent hose I must have nocked it off oh and I fixed the speedometer there was a transducer on the transfer case from the other truck for the 4:56 gears I took it off removed the broken stub cable and screwed my cable directly in the transfer case it's probably not correct but it made me warm and fuzzy to see it work. Maybe tomorrow I can get a helper to put the other mirrors on with me. It's becoming a safety issue not being able to see at this point

Sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

And , fix the damn tailpipe hanger!:p
Lol that exaust is a long story! It's lucky to be on the truck at all. It's flojunk so are the headers. No one makes an exhaust system kit for a crew cab Nor do they make one for a one ton or 3/4 ton with a 205 transfer case they're all designed around half tons with the 208 Transfer Case they don't fit and that exhaust is hanging that way so it doesn't rub on the rear brake valve for the rear suspension. Once I get emergency brake cables in it and figure out all that Hardware I'm going to go back to the exhaust but for now it's on the truck sorta. And it sounds as bad as it looks those are those Raceway Park swap meet $20 a piece fake Flowmaster mufflers might as well be cherry bombs it sounds awful way too loud raspy like a glasspack. My neighbors must hate me

try checking here...https://www.dormanproducts.com/gsea...igin=YMM&parttype=Cable%20-%20Parking%20Brake
couldn't remember the year, and just plugged in c30 by accident... you might be able to find the #'s you need, and advance, auto zone, or o'rielley's may be able to get them by the #'s... might even try going to the parts store's websites, you can get a decent discount if you order online and could possibly pick up at the store...

HTH, and keep at it, it's getting there!

Thanks but no luck there eather it seems there's a lot of small parts and pieces that should be reused that the last guy cut off and no one seems to have them perhaps I'll need to hit the junkyard for them but there's not a hole lot of those trucks left in the Northeast. It seems gm changed the design from a long cable that looped up one frame rail and down the other like mine should be to a single cable down the left rail right around the time they went to square headlights so I'm going to be looking for an 80 and older in the land of rotted new cars. This may need to wait until the wether breaks
