BUILD THREAD RealDealRegal Small tire Drag build

Starting to full get the K member in. Still have a little more work to do. Cleaning up the frame and removing all remains of the stock engine crossover. I might make a stencil from cardboard and fill in the OE frame holes with some plate where the cross over used to be. That way I can easily pass something thru it with a grommet like plumbing or even electrical.

Weekend update here, me and a Buddy slid the frame off the rack and off to the side for now. I wanted to get back on the body and start getting this right rear body mount pockets fixed up. As you can see one pocket has completely turned to dust. I made some measurements and references and then I removed all the spot welds and pulled that panel off . Acually came off pretty damn easy. Cleaned up work area and mocked up the new ones. The references spots are very close probably within 1/8 inch. Forward. Then I can easily raise the front or rear side of the panel to match the height measurements I have. Does seem it can be a little crooked and sloped down to the left . I coulld tweak it more. Or what Should i do is get the frame back over here. Bolt all other body mounts in keep this panel clamped in verify body mounts will work with pockets. Tighten up the bolts then tack it any where I can. Then lift the body off the frame....again.... and finish spot welding the panel. Also before I should probably put some weld through primer between the panels to prevent anything weird happening in the future
