What did you do to your non g-body project today [2025 edition]

The trucks seem to get it the worst. I think it has a lot to do with the construction and the shape of the bodies creates a lot of places for dirt, salt and moisture to get trapped versus a car or SUV. On top of the fact that they are just commonly used for work.

Fluid Film (or similar) every year or every other year is the best solution I’ve found.

In addition to this, it also seems that the higher ground clearance most trucks have creates greater air turbulence which scoops up more material off the road to be deposited on the undercarriage.

Bought new dryer today...

Seams electrical industry can't get stuff straight 🤣🤦🏻‍♂️
Dryer plug is labeled as a 10/3 vs 10/2
The wire I'm running to feed it is 8/2 plugged into a 2pole 30A breaker.

Pending the length I think 10ga is too small for 30a system. Most of the places I've lived dryer is 50' feet straight line from the power panel, probably well over 75' of wire🤦🏻‍♂️

Seams code went to a 10/3 wires... Maybe they should have jump to a 8/2 from 10/2.. let's add another "ground" vs fixing the problem of small wires🤷🏻‍♂️
I'm sure there was some lobby money on that rule change

drove clients in the limo and made money
then I tried to decode Mercedes documentation to determine what kind of oil I need to top off when it gets low. this thing has oil changes every 20,000 miles. yep, 20K. that's a factory recommendation

Since it was pouring on my way home from Morgantown I figured to pass on Mineral Beach, ended up staying and messing with a few things on the Blazer. A buddy helped me get the overhead console close to wrapped up once I run a wire for the speed sensor and the ambient temp, also stole a display from one of the other junk yard overhead consoles to have that in mine.
