My Dodge Truck Project (Cummins Inside)

Yep. I do it frequently. I have a hot/cold spigot in the garage that I hook the hose to. Crank the hot water heater up to max and it works very well.

BUILD THREAD Project long time coming

Spacers go into the lower arm channel to prevent the channel from collapsing when cranking down on the sway bar hardware.

    Cam you dig it?

...mainly a scavenging problem and I think this is where the limits will come into play. One thing I think you will have to do is when built, crank by hand and watch the rocker geometry. I was going to use roller tip rockers so I could watch the path of the tip on the valve, film it and watch...

    Future 383cid Upgrade

...overbore space incase of an engine rebuild years to a decade down the road. I wonder why they just didnt go with a bigger stroke on the crank, its much cheaper to replace a crank than an entire block, clearence or cost issue perhaps, i say keep the 4.00" bore and go 3.80" stroke to make it a...

    Holley pump cam help

...wonder it 'ran great'. I idled it down and then the problems started. It would die, stumble, shake, all sorts of stuff. We tried changing the crank timing to 12,10, 8, nope. The vacuum came up with the 12°. But on the street it ran worse. It wants to be at 6° and that was where it had been...

    Problem 200r4

And, If I decided to put it on the bottle or another power adder, the most I'd likely need to change is the ring gap.

LS to 4l80e flexplate and TC installation help

Yes. That’s exactly what I did. Builder seems to have messed up a bolt hole a little gonna have to tap it out a bit. Anyways, this is what I have. Should there be a specific space between the FP and the engine? Also between the TC and the trans? Thanks again 💪🏼

Ls swap return-less fuel system question

...isn't possible which is why I asked specifically for any link/s to a 500 rear-wheel hp combo you mentioned. 500hp to the ground = >600 @ the crank. My YT views/learnings along w/hot rodding experience suggest that number is unlikely in a N/A typical street driver w/o serious cam timing...

    Lost oil pressure

My brother bought it off an older guy who said the engine had some work done to it. I don’t believe I broke anything, could be totally wrong but like I said the car tends to shut off, I’m assuming carb tuning, but it always starts back up.. just not yesterday morning smh

My Dodge Truck Project (Cummins Inside)

-6 here in Ohio. Left my Duramax unplugged and it cranked slower than normal but didn’t have any issues other than it sounded like hell until the high idle kicked in. Wouldn’t even consider trying to start my 12 valve unless I plug it in for a couple hours lol

LS to 4l80e flexplate and TC installation help

GM, its almost time (been over a year at this build) to mate the 4l80e to my built LQ9. The LQ9 has a l8t crank so it is an 8 bolt flexplate, which i have. and i picked up a TC for that application aswell. My question is this, what is the spacing? im reading a lot online but most mention th400-...

...rolled their windows down could have 150k mile parts almost as tight as the day they were made. 300hp 307

...the Engineers intended. And a Stroker means more Piston Ring wear, due to the longer travel, as well as more stress on the Piston, Rod, and Crank as the Piston moves at higher velocities. I will be quite satisfied if my 307 will put out comparable horsepower to the Buick Turbo 3.8 liter...

Big block 396cid?? coming up for sale

...It's a 2 bolt main motor possibly out of an Impala. I have him getting the numbers on the block and heads( the most helpful of info). The crank is frozen in the block. Is there any interest out there for someone? It's in New England and will take a week or so for him to get back where the...

    MONTE CARLO 350 swap

...block, long story short in the 70s one of the gang drills for starter bolt holes was unaligned so the holes were drilled to far from the crank 1/4 to 1/3 of sbc are affected by this. GM came up with a bandaid solution and it was a new starter that had the gear further out from the case and...
