Passenger side is in but.... the "new" doors had regulators so I was just going to reuse them. Went to put the window crank on and realized the splines are all stripped out. So looks like the glass is coming back out so I can swap the regulator from the old door. One step forward two steps back.

id like to figure out the issue with cam so that it can run as it should. id imagine theres some type of issue not running a cam sensor. i origianlly sandblasted the car inside and out and there was sand EVERYWHERE. i would not be surprised if thats somehow causing an issue.

I agree, check the choke, and make sure the carb has gas. The carb may have a body plug leak that allows the bowl to empty while the car sits and you are cranking to refill the carb.

I seemed to missed the part where you checked any of this. Leaving a door open and observing what the dome light does while cranking can give you clues if there's a load on the battery or not.

Not much to update. Set the engine in the car. The Flowtech 1 3/4" does not clear the steering shaft. The flexplate was grazing the rear seal cover bolts. Had to add a crank spacer. The 302 oil pan from Holley fits nicely.

Just added another 1/32 shim on top of the 1/16 I had on there, and it cranks much smoother but the grinding is still there once the engine fires off at all. I think the bendix isn’t retracting until the starter stops receiving power. Tough call between a new bendix to satisfy my urge to fix it...
