you want your dist to ported vacuum on the carb
and the transmission goes to the manifold
and if you want to keep your hvac going you want to put that line on the same one as the trans modulator

with a 78cc head with flat top pistons should yeild aroun 9.2:1 i wouldnt worry about it man with todays gs prices with that you should be a ble to run 89 with no problem
if you choose to use the hkr2241 headers they will have a diagram of how to trim the mount that bolts to the block its simple and easy to do. me personally if i could have went with solid mounts i wouldnt have to trim anything lol

if there was a chevy motor in there you wont have a problem as far as mounts the only thing you tneed to think about is if you are gonna put in the HKR2241 headers then you need to trim them so the headers clear
the amount of oil burned in the combustion chamber is negliable. it will get worse as the oil control ring gets old
but for hte most part everything i have said was told to me from my instructor in tech school and from experianced techs
you may be experiancing a fuel problem. check pressure and volume under all types of load you you just may need to blow the sock off the fuel pick-up
the CCC of that year really dosent have any data you can read with a scanner
you may nee to get a non-CCC carb and dist. or have the carb rebuilt
well theres a few things you need to research
need a wastegate preferably around 4-6 psi boost
need a boost retard module
need to find out if the exhaust manifolds will make it harder to get to the plugs
need to find the right turbo for your apllication
need to find out if your head bolts will...

after you change the filter you may want to put some Lucas in it. if after you get it all done take it for a drive see how it shifts then let us know
usually the machine shop dose all that
when heads are in for a rebuild they usually check the springs for wear cracks and strenght
i dont think its the shop just the machist that they used
and also if one broke already i would replace all just to be on the safe side
its not hard at all just a little on the expensive side

i got some for 300.00 used
almost everything from the SBC will work on the BBC just the brackets wont
if your wanting dual exhaust get the after market double hump crossmember for 209.00
