it wasn't today but recently. my 7.5 out of a monte was apparently leaking for months till i fially ran it out of fluid and locked it up. long story short and quite unbelievably i found an 8.5 from a grand national with 3.08s installed on craigs list and was cruise'n at much more...
I've had Jegs say free shipping, then charge a handling fee the same price as Summits shipping. :wtf:
Summit seems more upfront to me, and their catalog/ web site is easier to use.
I've been looking around for one too. Monster transmission, http://monstertrans.com/ seems to have the best deal as far as online sources. The converter is included in the price, I like that.
dumbass broke the window?! that sucks.
some one tried to steel my old el camino a few years ago. they popped the lock with a screwdriver and smashed the column but couldnt get it started. battery was dead. no transmission fluid either, it wouldn't have gone far.
Swapped in the white spring (lightest one in the kit) on my secondary's. I finally feel some low end power.
I've heard a lot of guys say theirs bogs down with the light springs, but mines kickn *ss. Maybe my carb is too small... ehh one step at a time.
Was test and tuning my new quick change secondary springs, having a good ol'time when.. ohh **** no brakes!
sprung a leak somewhere looks like i got a new project. :blam:
Get 6 ton jack stands on all four corners. Jack it up all the way a little at a time using blocks of wood if you have to.
Going up a few notches at a time, front to back, front to back you shouldn't have any problems.
That's how i did it a few years a go anyway.
I wish I was Smart and used my...
whoever stole my car knew what they were doing. they went through some work to steal it too.
do you think they read "how to steal my car" By "Gbody forum member.com".
I'd be surprised. but defiantly intrigued. sorry to hear you'yr car got stolen.
I can't stand that sh*t.
Have you ever had your car stolen or almost stolen? I"ve had both.
People stealing g-body's aren't the same as people stealing Ferrari's. (In my experience anyway). They don't put a lot of research into a 10,000 dollarish car. You ether get it or not in 60 SECONDS.
Re: Greatest Day Ever For Gbody Junkyard Customizers!!(Check
I tryed to find a car with a bench for YEARS. i finall y ended up a factory bucket car and pulled the useless 80's console. go figure.
When i did my rear end, I just wire brushed the living hell out of it. Then two coats of rustoleum red oxide primer and two coats of satin black. It's holding up great, even with a jack on the pumpkin now and then.
Adjusting the cable should be easy with any descent manual. Why it gets confusing is ALOT of people ether don't adjust it or don't even bother to hook it up. I cant tell you how many people and or friends I've had ask me why they're car isn't running "quite right", only to have the tv cable...
