I need a Good Built 700r4

Hey Guy

I am looking for a built 700r4 to hold up to 500hp and about the same in torque. Yeah I have heard horror stories about the 700 not being able to hold up to that kind of HP but with all the new parts available for them now I think they can. Any ideals on who can build one thats not going to cost me 3grand to do it. I know I have to pay but 3 grand it a lil bit much. where do you live? I think it is always better to get it locally built so if you have problems you can take it to someone.

Im in the Houston Texas area. I had a guy to build one before and it wouldnt hold up

i really wouldn't buy from ebay, god only knows what you might get, and doing a warranty claim?
as said, bowtie is a good source, also check out extreme automatics, and ckperformance.

I've been looking around for one too. Monster transmission, http://monstertrans.com/ seems to have the best deal as far as online sources. The converter is included in the price, I like that.

I would never buy a transmission from E-Bay..Just me I guess...You oughta check this guy out: CKPerformance.com I bought a shift kit/vavlve body from them and couldn't be happier. When I need another 700r4 transmission done, it will be from them..JUst my 2 cents worth 8)

You're absolutely right about CK Performance. He's also one of the top 200-4R builders.
I was thinking in terms of someone in his general vicinity...the Houston area.

well i had a guy in the chicago area that did mine. very well built, he wanted to know everything about the car before he built it even nitrious. But he is not with the place any more that i got it from. I will email them to see if they can tell me where he went.
