Can you believe the bidding for this wagon?!?

Sold for $8800. The owner offered it to me for $7K before the auction but I felt uncomfortable going that high. :blam:

Can you believe the bidding for this wagon?!?

I wonder if there is some funny business going on? It was in the 3-4K range, then suddenly it hit $8K and stayed there. Will be interesting to see if the deal goes through....

Can you believe the bidding for this wagon?!?

This car was an ebay afew weeks ago. The high bid by the current owner was $4050 but didn't meet reserve, so he paid slightly more than that to get it. Looks like he'll double his money on this quick flip.

    305/4 speed Monte Carlo

It'll be interesting to see if this car sells at the BIN price. It looks alot better in the ebay pics than it did in person - I'll tell you guys that much.

    New guy w/78 4 speed

Had I ended up buying this car, I simply would have cleaned it up, done any necessary mechanical repairs and just drove it as is. Frame off restos are a big commitment - lots of money, time and effort. Really, more than I'd be willing to do.

    New guy w/78 4 speed

If you're asking me, although this car is worthy of restoration, a full on, frame off, cosmetic and mechanical resto could easily exceed $20-$25K. It's a cool car, but it'll be a project.

    New guy w/78 4 speed

I test drove this car a couple of days before cadillac7834 bought it. I can attest to it's "fun to drive" factor and the fact that it'll light up the right rear, even from a roll.

    305/4 speed Monte Carlo

They claimed that this was an aluminum trunk lid. Looked like a layer of silver paint to me. Rear frame rails.

    305/4 speed Monte Carlo

He actually said if someone doesn't buy it, he's going to part it. I'd give him $500-$800 for it as she sits, simply because it's a 4 speed. Honestly, I've seen better cars in the JY. This one is really rough. It looks way better in the blurry pics than in person. But he says there are people...
