Can anyone tell me what year this Elco is?

I'm not sure if it is factory or not, the PO had it installed prior to my purchase. I didn't find a part number on it or anything.

I did mine but don't have pics yet. I had the cluster out and had a 12v power supply that I used it test all the bulbs before I put them in. If you want to change colors maybe try mixing the white bulbs with the other color to just give a hint of the color. I did all blue and it was too blue...

Hoping to make it out, the malibu won't be with me unfortunately.

This is the one I used prior to the overdrive swap. Had a 2101 intake and mounted on the rear two bolts of the intake on the drivers side. Hope it helps.

Thanks, as soon as I can get some more time I'll trace the tan wire down. I also found this diagram on maliburacing.com I think it is directly out of the service manual. I guess my search skills are off, I should have found that a long time ago. Maybe at least it might help someone else down the...

Which intake are you running? I just pulled my bracket yesterday and it mounted to the back two bolts on the drivers side of the intake. I may do some work on the car today I'll grab a pic or two and see if I can get a part number off of it. I'm running an Edelbrock 2701 intake.

I completed the conversion but I am running into a problem with the oil pressure sensor. I've got a 1980 Malibu running a 94 350 enging and my wiring to the firewall to the current oil pressure switch/sender has two leads. The switch I have in there now has two leads and the oil/choke light...

Ok, since the washer pump was toast I purchased an electric replacement versus the cam style hoping to ease things as far as difficulty. So I get my new delay motor and my new pump. I get the old one out to compare the two and The newer one has two wires coming out of the side of the motor...

I've read all the threads about delay being very troublesome to add to a car that doesn't already have it. I have a 1980 Malibu with the switch on the dash that does not have delay. I purchased a delay/pulse/mist OEM switch that has the green wire that fits on the dash from a 1981. My question...

When I did mine I hunted forever to find a bezel with the wipers on the dash and the Large Hole for the knob. I may have a small knob switch laying around but I had the same problem. Plus I wanted to keep the rear defrost.

Mine came out good, I still have to add the sensors under the hood for the oil and water temp. I have a couple of sweep style sets around here if you need parts. To change from the sweep to the round style you have to change the wires around in the harness to fit the new gauges.

Is it the sweep style with idiot lights or is it the round style with gauges? I recently did the swap from the sweep style to the round gauges. The difference would be in the housing and bezels. Top pic is round and bottom is sweep style.

Were you ever able to get a higher mph speedo that was a sweep style?
