    Original Owner Of My Car

I'd call the guy. What's the worst the guy could do....hang up on you?

Stock, 4 door V6 Cutlass with 14k miles for $12,000??!

Off the top of my head, I could think of about 150 other cars I would spend $11,999 on before that 4 door Cutty. I'd would hard time paying even $2500 for that car.

    Day at the wrecking yard

My parents had that identical year and color LeSabre when I was a kid.

So how much have you guys been paying for parts cars?

Last week a guy up here in N Dakota was selling an 86 Regal rolling shell for $450.

    Motley Crue

I saw them back in 2005 at the Bismarck Civic Center. Missed the state fair show though. Heard it was good.

    China

Ha...when I opened this thread I thought it would be something about mechanic Edd China from Wheeler Dealers. Anyway, China (the country) will probably end up ruling the world soon so you guys better brush up on your Mandarin.

People at car shows are so bias towards my 5th gen El Camino

The original poster's Camino is nicely done and something to be proud of. But you could roll into a car show with GNX #1 and you wouldn't get any respect from 95% of the people there. That's just how it is with g-bodies. They would probably think "What's so special about this old black...

Fresh paint job on 85 Cutlass...

Removing those pieces trim makes the car look clean. Nice. One tiny little thing...I wouldn't have replaced the pinstripe, sorry I'm just being picky.

    Regal convertible ????

As far as hack jobs go that Regal seems pretty good. Too bad the owners didn't keep it in the best condition throughout the years.

    Is my car rare?

Most baby boomers didn't want the old 60s muscle cars back in the 1980s, you could buy a cherry 68 SS Camaro for $3000 in 1985. Now you can't touch one without a credit reference. I think that it's groups like us on this board that will always attach a value to g-bodies. Over time they will...

    Umm wow. Interesting

    What Got You Into G-Bodies?

These cars were all over when I was a kid so there was that influence. But the car that got me lusting after G-bodies was seeing my first Grand National in person back in about 1985. But it doesn't matter if it's a Monte, Regal, Cutlass, Malibu or Grand Prix, the body style was classic the day...

    Camaro

I've seen a 350 in a second gen Supra so it's kind of payback. Got no problems with a 2JZ in a 67 RS/SS but cutting up a numbers matching 69 Z28 would be a different story.

    Autocross Malibu

Camera work sucks but the car is awesome!

Is Hyundai Finally Making Something You Would Actually WANT?

Hyundai is on the heels of and in some cases pass the Japanese in quality and they back it up with the 10/100 warranty. Good enough for me.

Minnesota winters can be long and cold.. Time for a ride.

That's a nice Monte. I'm freezing my *ss off a few hours west of you in North Dakota. Been driving my Regal when the weather allows.

    stratus steel wheel...oops

The bolt pattern on the Dodge Stratus sedan was 5x100. This is a very common pattern that was used on many different makes and models so finding a replacement steel wheel shouldn't be too hard. http://www.speedstash.com/wheelguide.html

    Another G-body destroyed for TV

Last summer I had a parking lot mishap with some guy talking on his cell phone, he bent my front bumper. Had a hell of time finding a suitable replacement. Finally found a used one in a yard about 800 miles away...took 2 weeks to get it shipped. Then I waited another 2 weeks to get...

    odometer readings

Agreed on the condition in relation to the stated miles, it's pretty much the only way you can tell. You really have to look the car over closely if he is representing it as a 50,000 mile car. If the miles are really that low then the car should be in good shape with very little wear...
